Lillemor Forrest green

- Product description
Lillemor is 100% organic merino wool. Lillemor comes in a wide range of beautiful colors, which can be used for both babies, children, and adults. The merino wool is from South America and is mulesing-free.
Merino wool is one of the softest types of wool, as it consists of very fine fibers, making it the perfect choice for sensitive (baby) skin. Merino wool has several natural properties, such as temperature regulation, moisture absorption, protection against sweat odor, and it is both dirt- and water-resistant.
Since yarn for babies and children is washed more frequently than other clothing, Lillemor is superwash-treated, allowing it to be machine washed according to the washing instructions on the label. Note that it is recommended not to use fabric softener. The garment should not be soaked. The superwash treatment used for Lillemor is done without chlorine. Organic chemicals are used, which are not harmful to either nature or humans. The treatment takes place during the dyeing process with hot water and high-temperature pressurized tanks.
Merino wool can be used year-round and gives a beautiful result whether it’s hand-knitted or crocheted. Lillemor is perfect for small baby blankets, accessories, and knitwear that is worn close to the skin, where softness is especially important.
The construction of the yarn gives a beautiful texture and good elasticity. The yarn can also be knitted together with, for example, Angel or doubled, to create a different effect.
With an Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Class 1 certification, Lillemor has been tested for harmful substances. Class 1 refers to a product class that includes products for babies, which has the strictest requirements and limits.
If you wash on a 30-degree wool program in the washing machine, we recommend washing your swatch first.
Note that colors may vary from screen to screen, so the color may look slightly different in daylight. We have included some examples of patterns with Lillemor below. You can find more patterns with Lillemor under the menu Patterns/Lillemor.

- Washing instructions
When you have finished your knitting, we recommend that you wash it to have the stitches lie down nicely and evenly and to wash out any extra colour.
This yarn can be machine washed at 30 degrees. However, we recommend that you know your washing machine well or wash a knitting sample first to avoid unforeseen surprises.
Put your knitting in a washing bag, use wool washing liquid and wash on the machine's wool program. Centrifuge, if necessary, at low turns or roll it into a towel to squeeze out the extra water.
Let your knitting dry lying flat on a towel in the dimensions indicated in the instruction.
