Einige Qualitäten sind Mischungen aus mehreren Fasern, wodurch die Farben leicht gesprenkelt erscheinen können, da sie sich unterschiedlich an die Fasern binden, während andere Garne vollständig durchgefärbt sind.

Die Garne von ONION mit ökolischen Fasern enthalten ausschließlich Naturfasern, von denen mindestens eine ökologisch ist. Die konventionelle Baumwollproduktion ist für einen Großteil des weltweiten Pestizideinsatzes verantwortlich. Die Chemikalien sind nicht nur umweltschåadlich, sondern auch gefährlich für die Arbeiter und verbleiben in der Kleidung. Dies ist ein wichtiger Grund, warum wir bei unseren Baumwollfasern Wert auf Ökologie legen.
