Vera by Permin – light and natural

Vera is a chainette yarn where wool and alpaca are blown into a cotton chain. This makes it lighter, airier, and more elastic than comparable blends. Produced in Italy by a family-run company with a strong focus on sustainability, animal welfare, and transparency. 65% cotton, 30% alpaca, 5% wool – a combination that offers softness, breathability, and temperature regulation. Especially suitable for sensitive skin and allergy sufferers. The alpaca is antistatic, does not pill, and feels softer than traditional wool – perfect for both summer and winter knits. The colours feature a beautiful melange effect – from soft shades like wheat field and raspberry sorbet to deeper tones like moss green and bordeaux.

If you are a fan of Bella by Permin, you will love Bellissima!

Bellissima is an exclusive, voluminous mohair yarn spun together with a metallized lurex thread, adding a subtle, elegant shimmer effect to your knitting and crochet projects. The yarn’s composition is a classic blend of kid mohair and wool, giving it its characteristic long-haired and slightly fluffy look. You can knit with one or multiple strands, using either thin or thick needles, depending on the style you want. The airy mohair texture provides a light and soft feel, while the metallic thread adds an elegant wow factor. Despite its lightness, Bellissima has great body and structure, making it suitable for everything from light sweaters to large cardigans and dresses – the yarn maintains its light and airy look even in bigger projects. Bellissima by Permin consists of 85% kid mohair, 6% wool, 5% viscose, 3% polyester, and 1% polyamide, with an approximate length of 160 meters per 50 grams.

ONIONKnit On November 1, 2024, Permin took over ONIONKnit's yarns and designs related to the yarns.

In the development of ONIONKnit's yarns, emphasis has been placed on ecology and the use of natural fibers. All yarn compositions are exclusively natural fibers, with at least one of the qualities being organic.

Colors and designs are classic and in line with the Nordic style. ONION's yarns are developed and manufactured in collaboration with a spinning mill in Italy with a focus on quality and with consideration for the environment.

ONIONKnit will continue to exist as a separate brand and we look forward to developing the brand.
